No Unanswered Questions
During a recent White House press briefing, Jay Carney uttered words he may soon regret
when responding to a question on the continued criticism of Ambassador
Rice’s September 16th Sunday talk show circuit.
Mr. Carney stated “there are no unanswered questions regarding Ambassador Rice’s appearance on Sunday Shows and the talking points she used”. However, it seems Senators McCain, Graham and Ayotte disagree.
According to Brietbart news, the Senators released the following statement after their closed door meeting with Ambassador Rice:
We respectfully disagree with the White House’s statement that ‘there are no unanswered questions’ about Ambassador Rice’s September 16 Sunday show appearances and the talking points she used.
Around 10:00 am this morning in a meeting requested by Ambassador Rice, accompanied by acting CIA Director Mike Morell, we asked Mr. Morell who changed the unclassified talking points to remove references to Al Qaeda. In response, Mr. Morell said the FBI removed the references and did so to prevent compromising an ongoing criminal investigation. We were surprised by this revelation and the reasoning behind it.
However, at approximately 4:00 this afternoon, CIA officials contacted us and indicated that Acting Director Morell misspoke in our earlier meeting. The CIA now says that it deleted the Al Qaeda references, not the FBI. They were unable to give a reason as to why.
We are disturbed by the Administration’s continued inability to answer even the most basic questions about the Benghazi attack and the Administration’s response.
Beyond Ambassador Rice’s misstatements, we continue to have questions about what happened in Benghazi before, during, and after the attack on our consulate – as well as the President’s statements regarding the attack.
Perhaps most important, we also need to understand why the U.S. military was unable to respond within seven hours to save American lives in Benghazi and why our consulate was left so unsecured despite a series of previous attacks.
In more than a dozen letters, we and other Senators have repeatedly requested that the Administration provide answers to our questions. Yet, today most of them remain unanswered. We eagerly await their response.
During the same press briefing Mr. Carney went on to say “the questions that remain to be answered, and that the President insists be answered have to do with what happened in Benghazi, who was responsible for the deaths of 4 Americans, including our Ambassador. And what steps we need to take to ensure something like that does not happen again”.
Well Mr. Carney, it seems on this point we agree. Let’s hope Senators McCain, Graham and Ayotte give President Obama the opportunity to answer those questions he insists be answered. Let’s hope the Senators take the President seriously and ‘go after him.’ After all the President did say during his November 11th presser he is “happy to have that {Benghazi} discussion with them”.
Mr. President, we’re waiting.

Landslide lyric parody in honor of my predicted Romney victory
When they saw Barack, they saw hope
And many Americans went to cast their vote
With hope for change and a turnaround
But the unemployment rate never came down
But the unemployment rate never came down
Oh, Mr. President
Where is hope?
Is it 46m on food stamps or an Obama phone
Can I ignore your failed policies and vacation time
Can I vote with 12.3m in the unemployment line
Can I vote with 12.3m in the unemployment line
Well I've been afraid of changing
Cause I really thought you would come through
But time made me bolder
Blaming bush just got older
And I'm starting to waiver too
Oh, I'm voting Romney soon
So, I'm casting my vote on Tuesday night
Its hard to admit I was not right
I wonder when we see the returns on Election night
If the MSM will report a landslide
And when We see Romney win on Election night
The MSM will be in for the shock of their lives
Bc a landslide brought him down. A landslide brought BO down.

Gotta Love Twitter!
I haven't posted in a few weeks but it is not because I've had nothing to say regarding the latest political happenings. Instead there is so much to say I've had a difficult time determining which story is of most significance or how to write about so many topics in a succinct manner?
And then last night I received a response from a Barack Obama supporter to one of my tweets prompting me to write this post..... The tweet response is not the first one of its kind I've received from a BO supporter, and it is actually one of the tamer ones. But in my limited tweeting experience, it seems a typical response when a liberal has no argument or runs out of topics picked up from the latest DNC talking points. Come to think of it, sounds a lot like Barack Obama's re-election campaign. And it goes something like this.....
Me: I tweeted an article quoting Colin Powell's support of BO and his praising of BO's economic policies. Along w the link I said. 'I've lost much respect for CP. What an Idiot'
Liberal: just bc he doesn't agree wit (nice spelling). Some unknown, common, narrow minded stank hoe(Again. Nice spelling as I don't believe he was referring to me as a garden tool)
Me: Idiot may have been a little too harsh, I meant moron. (notice my sarcastic humorous response)
From the libs next tweet, I believe sarcastic humor may be lost on him.....
Liberal: Hoe (Again w the garden tool reference) might have been a little harsh. I should have said B!TCH (he used the I) CNT (he added a U before the N) go get raped and take dat dick.
Me: Language completely expected from a BO supporter. The POTUS who calls his opponent a bullshitter.
Liberal: and I swear he said this, I am not making this up............... 'seriously name calling should stay out of intelligent political discourse, can't we disagree w/o being disagreeable'
Seriously????
After which I blocked the idiot-moron.
It's completely insane to waste time trying to have a discussion with a liberal of this nature. One who resorts to name calling when he has nothing to say.
But really, why expect anything more from a BO supporter given what our POTUS and his re-election campaign team believes will resonate with their base, such as:

But really, why expect anything more from a BO supporter given what our POTUS and his re-election campaign team believes will resonate with their base, such as:
- Stump speeches about the big issues: Big Bird, Bayonets, & Binders
- An interview with Rolling Stone magazine in which Obama references Romney as a bullshitter. (Such nice language from our POTUS, isn't he just so cool)!
- Hit all the serious/hard hitting news & interview shows like: Pimp with a Limp, The View, David Letterman, Jay Leno and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. None of which will ask him the tough questions like:
- We understand the Benghazi attack is under investigation, and you don't want to politicize it or comment until the investigation is complete. So then why did your administration repeatedly say the attack was the result of a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic video after having knowledge the video had nothing to do with the attack? That kind of seems like jumping to conclusions when you hadn't received all the facts.
- And, why is the video maker in jail without bond for breaking his parole when folks like Lindsay Lohan break theirs over and over by using drugs, shop lifting, being a no show for a court dates and yet somehow can get out of jail in a matter of days? If I understand it correctly, the video maker broke his parole by using a computer to make the video that had nothing to do with the Benghazi attack. And he remains in a CA jail with no bail until after the election. Harsh.
- And finally, as you suggested, we investigated your debate assertion that Romney wanted to liquidate the auto industry, to destroy it, even writing an op-ed piece about it. What we, and even David Letterman found true after reading the article was Romney said he thought a structured bankruptcy was more appropriate as it would allow the company to make the necessary changes to be successful in the long run. Even David Letterman wants to know why you lied Mr. President.
- The real you without your surrogates to explain what you really meant
- The real you without the media to protect you
- The real you without your teleprompter
And it seems with the addition of the Benghazi scandal, the trust of many Americans who voted for you in 2008 is beginning to wane.
One can hope anyway.
And finally, just when I think the BO campaign can't go any lower, they surprise us all by lowering the bar, again. In an attempt to reach out to the youth vote, the campaign released a video comparing your first time voting to your first time having sex.
Look I'm not a prude, and I'll give you creativity on this one when reaching out to the 18-25 year old crowd. But as a mom and a US citizen I find the video tasteless, and it diminishes the office of the President.
The only good thing I can say about it, is it shows the campaign's desperation to get out the vote.
But while they may get a few more 18 year old voters to wake up in time to find their polling location, they have further eroded the female margin of support for BO. Bad form, and bad campaign move.
But I'll let you decide:

Libyan Timeline: Obama Administration Exposed
Below is a link to the timeline of the Obama administration's attempt to cover up the terrorist attack in Libya resulting in the death of 4 Americans. The timeline provides an eye opening account of the administration's coordinated effort to mislead the American people and blame a video for sparking a spontaneous attack on our embassy, when they knew there was nothing spontaneous about it.
http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/special-report-bret-baier/videos#p/86927/v/1892704860001
So why you ask did the Obama administration attempt to mislead the public about a terrorist attack occurring on the anniversary the worst terrorist attack in our nation's history? Doesn't make sense, right?
Unless of course you have the most dismal domestic policy record since the Carter administration, and your convention's theme just days before the terrorist attack was based on how You (barack obama) single handedly brought Al Qaeda to its knees and killed Osama bin Laden. I seem to recall hearing 'ask Osama bin Laden if he's better off now'?
Add the convention theme to the inexperienced community organizer in office, and the result is panic. You blame a spontaneous demonstration that never occured and a video for causing the death of 4 Americans. You send your people out to perpetrate the lie, and count on the main stream media to not ask questions, and the scary thing is.......you almost succeed.
After the attack, Romney made a statement about it and the lack of leadership on BO's part, and the media covered Romney's statement for days vs. the mounting evidence of the Obama administration cover up . You then attempt to keep the FBI from investigating the scene, saying its not safe for the FBI, but it was ok to leave our Ambassador unprotected?
In the clip you hear over and over about this offensive and disgusting video. Well let me tell you what I find offensive and disgusting..... The lack of security provided our ambassador/citizens. The fact that our president knew this was a terrorist attack and proceeded to go to Las Vegas for a fund raiser after. The fact that his administration actively participated in lying to the American people to save face during an election year.
But most of all, I find it disgusting and offensive that our media is such a colossal failure. They are such a propaganda machine for this administration. Actively ignoring important news such as this because it may not help BO's re-election chances.

Undecided Voters. Are you one of them????
Are you one of the coveted undecided voters who will determine the fate of our country? If so, watching the SNL spoof of you may be just the push you need to make a decision.
http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/09/saturday-night-live-undecided-voters.php?m=1
Because really, what are you waiting for?
If you're even slightly inclined to give BO 4 more years of this crap, please do leave a comment and explain why. I'm truly interested in your indecision.
Because for the life of me I cannot understand the difficulty of deciding against 4 more years of BO given:
The state of our economy and it being the slowest economic recovery EVER
The US debt is $16T, the largest in our nations history
23M + are unemployed or underemployed
The US is now ranked 13th im ease of starting a new business, we trail countries like Rwanda
The recent examples of BO's failure on foreign policy, his inexperience culminating on a global scale with the deaths of 4 U.S. citizens in Libya
Our President with 4 years under his belt remains the most inexperienced person in any room he walks in, and we've witnessed for 4 years what his inexperience and ideology can accomplish.
And undecided voters are considering more of the same? Really????
Are you relatives of Jimmy Carter?
Or do you simply enjoy being surveyed by random strangers???
Honestly it is frustrating that the fate of our country is left to those who frankly stand for nothing, because you will fall for anything. Including 4 more years of the worst president in history.

2016: Sleeper Hit of the Summer
Over the weekend, I went to see a movie taking Hollywood, the media and many Americans by surprise--2016: Obama's America. And while many see the movie as red meat for Republicans, I see it more as a stunning example of media malpractice. Because whether or not you agree with Dinesh D'Souza's theory on who and what shapes Obama's political philosophy, 2016 provides more information in two hours than the media reported in over 5 years about a man who seemed to come out of nowhere and become the most powerful man in the world.
Personally, I believe everyone should see this movie. And I'd be most interested in a review from someone who considers themselves to be an Obama supporter. I'd like to know if anything in the movie was new information for you, and/or if anything you learned in the film would have changed your support for Obama in 2008?
As anyone who knows me or who has read my blog knows-I did not vote for Obama. My decision to not support BO had nothing to do with him being a Democrat, and my being a Repbulican, and it had NOTHING to do with the color of his skin. But most importantly, it had NOTHING to do with most of the information contained in the movie 2016.
My reasons for not supporting BO were grounded in what little I did know about the man,:
So Why such media malpractice in the case of BO? In my opinion, or as the kids nowadays say, IMO, the media was either too invested in the election outcome (covering the historic election of our first black president) or too afraid to be labeled racist for investigating BO.
So I encourage each person, Republican, Democrat, Independent, non political to see 2016. The movie provides a look into Obama's upbringing, his education, and those who mentored and helped shape the man and his political philosophy.
2016 provides in two hours what the media failed to provide in over 5 years. You can agree, disagree or debate D'Souza's theory in 2016, but I do not believe you can debate the failure of the media in vetting a man who is now the most powerful man in the world.
And to quote a line from the very limited 2016 advertising budget: ''Love him, Hate him, you don't Know him".
I encourage you, get to know Obama.

My reasons for not supporting BO were grounded in what little I did know about the man,:
- His lack of experience in any area-public or private service
- His liberal voting record in his short 2 year Senate career
- His either indecision or deception in so many present votes vs. yea or nay votes over his very short political career
- His class warfare and wealth redistribution philosophy, although mostly well hidden by scripted TelePrompTer appearances
But I pay close attention to politics, my assumption is most do not. So I often wondered while watching 2016 if media malpractice caused many Americans to support a man they knew very little about when we know almost everything, and maybe too much information about past presidential
candidates.

Sneiderman Widow Charged With Murder
Is anyone surprised, well maybe a little after reading the 8 count indictment against Andrea Sneiderman. But when your boss is convicted of murdering your husband, chances are you may have something to do with the motive behind such a fatal decision.
And when you travel, dine, dance, share wine and send hundreds of texts/emails to the man who killed your husband, one may be inclined to believe your relationship was the sole motivation.
As is the case of Andrea Sneiderman.
But is Andrea guilty of adultery and poor performance on the witness stand or is she guilty of conspiring with Hemy Neuman to kill her husband?
DA James believes it is the latter and he does not seem to be the type of DA who brings charges without having a strong case to back up those charges.
For Andrea's supporters the most troubling indictment may be that of attempted murder. We expected perjury, and some even expected Or wanted malice murder charges, but attempted murder??? Does DA James have additional evidence or some one's cooperation. I guess we will have to 'stay tuned'.

If you build it, government should take the credit????
Out of the mouth of idiots, or in this case president Obama
In a speech to Virginia supporters regarding increasing taxes on those families/businesses earning 250k+ and individuals/bussinesses making 200k+, Obama said the following:
(please note, I purposely switched the order of the paragraphs to begin looking at BO's word choice)
If you were successful, someone along the line gave you some help.
There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.
Somebody helped create this Unbelievable American system we have That ALLOWED you to Thrive.
Somebody invested in roads and bridges.
If you own a business, you Didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.
There are a lot of wealthy successful Americans Who agree with me because they want to give something back. If you've been successful, you didn't get there On your own.
I'm always struck by people who Think, well it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than Everybody else. Let me tell you something-there are a lot of hardworking people out there.
Oh BO, class warefare at its finest and mixed in with the rhetoric, word choices giving each of us great insight into Your political philosophy and view of this unbelievable American system. 1-7, is the insight I gained after reading the speech. You can draw your own conclusions.
1.). If you were successful, someone along the line gave you some help.
BO's use of the word Were and have been later in his speech, and both in relation to an individial's success is both troubling and insightful.
This president is described as a great orator, and so I do not believe he says or does anything by accident. And when he has a slip of the tongue, it's always revealing (i.e. the 'spread the wealth' comment to joe the plumber when campaigning for president).
Regardless of whether the use of the past tense in relation to being successful is a slip or scripted, in my opinion it expresses the likelihood BO's policies will ensure those who achieved success will be less so if he is re-elected. His intention to tax those who are deemed by his administration to be too successful ensures they will not only be less successful, they will pay back those who gave help along the line.
2.). There was a great teacher somewhere.
Here BO gives a shout out to the teacher's union. Teachers good. Tax cuts for the rich hurt teachers.
3.). Somebody helped create this unbelievable American system that ALLOWED you to thrive.
BO's use of the word allowed, troubling and again insightful. Allowed is defined as To permit. To let have.
BO's use of allow expresses many things about the great orator's philosophy:
You are successful or thrive because of government
Without government help, you cannot succeed or thrive
Only certain folks in America were ALLOWED to succeed
Government alone should decide who succeeds, how much success is enough, how much the government keeps for allowing such success and how much will be transferred to others who undoubtedly helped you along the line.
4.). Somebody invested in roads and bridges.
Really? Do 'successful folks' not pay taxes, and don't our taxes pay for the investment in roads and bridges????
I can only assume BO threw this little tid bit in as an example of the necessity of his 787B stimulus plan, of which only 3% went to infrastructure projects, but ok.
And the most insightful statement in BO's speech requires 0 parsing of words to assess his political philosophy..........
5.). If you own a business. You didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.
Obama believes when someone has an idea, creates a business, and has success this person owes it to everyone else. There is no individual, there is only the collective. The individual's success is everyone's success and it must be shared. Again clearly illustrating, BO's philosophy:
You are successful or thrive because of government
Your success therefore is the government's to decide how best to share it with the collective.
6.) There are a lot of wealthy who agree with me, because they want to give something back.
What is stopping them BO????? Do they need government permission to write more charitable donation checks, or to increase the amount on the checks they currently write?
What stops these rich who are dying to do more from giving more to their communities directly vs. Paying more in taxes to the federal government where a % of their dollars will be wasted on bureaucratic red tape????
And how much more should the wealthy give, (the wealthy you don't know, the wealthy who feel they give enough).
The top 10% already pay 71% of federal income taxes, how much more should they pay 100%. What then incents this group to produce more, to create more jobs when so much already goes to government???
I have an idea, why dont you place pressure on Harry Reid to pass a budget spending less than it takes in???? We have not had a budget since 2009, why don't you clean your house before asking any American, rich or poor, to contribute another dime???
Curious, BO what do you call an economic plan selling taxing The wealthy more as its strategy to improve our economy, when we could take everything the wealthy make and own; and would not Have enough money to pay for one year's worth of government spending??
Idiotic at best, incompeent, class warfare at the worst, and your economic plan for the US.
7). I'm always struck by people who think, well it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than Everybody else. Let me tell you something-there are a lot of hardworking people out there.
BO's use of the word think is not only troubling. It's desperate. It shows his campaign's inability to run on his record, there desperation to gin up support, and resort to what they do best, insight class warfare by any means necessary.
And to do so, BO has been gifted with ability to mind read. He tells us he knows what those evil successful people think.
I'm curious, when is the last time you heard a business owner say he/she is a success bc they are just so damned smart and worked harder than anyone else???? I haven't.
Well maybe I've heard a few say they work hard, but they certainly haven't said they don't appreciate or understand others work just as hard if not harder.
Yet Obama seems to know what they think and he'd like nothing more than for us to buy into this too. Those of us who dont own our own business or don't find ourselves making over 200k. He'd like we who are deemed not successful to get angry at those who are, and get out and vote for him.
Bc BO understands us, he knows what we think. He knows you, the business owner, other americans would not and could not be a success without him, without government.
Without goverment Paving the way for those who succeed and helping those who don't. They allow the successful among us keep a portion of their success and give the remainder to those government thinks are just as smart and worked just as hard but somehow were not able to become a success even though the government allowed them to.

The biggest lie of all: if you like your coverage. You can keep it
Well maybe if you work for a company run by an idiot you can. And if this is the case you can keep your employer sponsored health plan until the company goes under because the owner doesn't have sound financial judgement.
What do you mean you right wing nut. President Obama said if I like my plan I can keep it. You are using scare tactics about this bill. Am I, you decide.
For a business with 50+ employees you either offer healthcare coverage or pay a penalty.
But beginning in 2014, you no longer have the freedom to choose which plans you offer your employees. (Remember the recent controveresy of religious establishments being forced to include contraception coverage in their plans????). Obamacare.
As a private business you can no longer choose the type of plans to offer your employees, the type of plans your business can afford. Instead you must offer plans Obama deems acceptable.
Plans that include unlimited coverage, cannot exclude pre-existing conditions, give away 'freebies' such as birth control, preventative care, kids on coverage until the age of 26. Plans that do not allow cost sharing in the form of coinsurance or deductibles for the mandated mentioned above. Nor does the law allow a private health insurance company to charge the rate they feel they should charge to make a profit for the mandated coverage. (how dare a private company be allowed to make a profit).
So essentially the government decides how much a private business can charge for their product, while deciding what type of product aNother private business must purchase and offer to its employees. Ok got it.
For those who agree with the above, and celebrate the supreme court's ruling which is completely your prerogative, I'm curious, mathematically do you think it is feasible for an insurance company to stay in business while their policy must cover everyone, for everything, with no limits and for less premium?
If you don't care And think, serves them right those damn evil insurance companies. I don't care if they do go out of business, ask yourself, then what. What does that leave you with? Self pay? Or the new and exciting single payor or government exchange programs.
Be careful what you wish for, and then think about receiving healthcare from a government controlled entity. My mind immediately goes to my last trip to the DMV. Scary thought.
Think it couldn't happen, or that a single payer government run system is not what was intended by Obamacare???? Read on.
So as An employer I must decide Do I continue to offer the more expensive and mandatory healthcare coverage to my employees, or do I pay the penalty per employee instead? Surely the penalty is so outrageously high that offering My employees a more comprehensive policy is really the only option. Because I know the law is intended to provide more affordable and quality healthcare for all Americans.
For your reference, in 2001 the average employer contribution for family coverage was $5,269 and in 2011 it was $10,944. For single coverage, the 2011 average employer contribution was $4,500.
Let me get my calculator out. Should I pay a 2k penalty or offer my employees coverage for more than double the penalty for single coverage and more than 5 times the penalty for family coverage??? Hmmm. Tough decision. I'm no mathematician or financial genius, but I'd say the choice has all but been made for me, wouldn't you?
And Why on earth would Obamacare set the employer penalty for not offering employee's healthcare coverage significantly less than the expense to insure employees from 11 years ago??? Somehow this doesn't make sense if what BO says is true, if you like your coverage you can keep it.
So by forcing private health insurance carriers to offer coverage to everyone, for everything, while the government not the private company decides how much they should charge for it. And setting employer penalties for not offeing healthcare coverage to their employees well below the employers healthcare expenses from over 10 years ago, BO ges exactly what he intended with Obamacare. The start to a single payor system run by our government.
So should we believe BO's promises about keeping our current plans, and that the purpose of Obamacare is to provide quality and affordable healthcare to all americans.
Or should we use the math skills learned in elementary school to come to a more logical conclusion. That Obamacare is about moving to a single payor goverment sponsored healthcare system by forcing private health insurance companies out of the market via the inability to make a profit for the product sold and by forcing more consumers into the single payor system by charging employers a penalty that looks more like an incentive to discontinue their employee's healthcare coverage.
I believe this is exactly what Obama intended and that the intention is included in the last 4 words of the bill's description, found on page 2' it reads:
To provide affordable, quality healthcare for all Americans and reduce the growth in healthcare spending AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

The words that stopped me from throwing a rock through justice Roberts window
If you are like me, you received the shock of a lifetime when the supreme court's ruling on the constitionality of Obamacare was announced. While I was shocked the law was found constitutional, I was in complete disbelief to learn the swing vote was provided by Chief Justice John Roberts.
I practically ran off the road pulling up the Drudge Report on my iPhone to confirm. Surely the news reports got the ruling wrong, it is simply not possible Chief Justice Roberts provided the swing vote.
So I said a little prayer as the app was loading only to be brought from disbelief to outrage when the bold red type said OBMAMA CARE STANDS.
For the ill informed who believe this ruling is somehow good news, I say just wait. It will be a matter of time only until you begin to understand the impact of the ruling, and discover there really is no such thing as a free lunch.
If you have an interest in understanding the impact of this ruling on your life, check back in a few days as I will give a succinct and 'dumbed down' explanation of the hidden taxes and costs associated with the Obamacare law. Did you really think a 2700 page law was only about providing affordable healthcare??????
Realizing the reports were correct, Obamacare stands and that not just Chief Justice Roberts but BUSH APPOINTED CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS provided the fatal blow I found myself wanting to provide a fatal blow to Mr. Roberts via a rock through his window with a note saying how fricking dare you (with a little less 'rick and a lot more 'uck). But as the day went on and the outrage subsided, I began instead researching the law and supreme court majority opinion for my written rock through Justice Roberts' window instead.
While reading excerpts of the majority opinion, no one was more surprised than me to find Justice Roberts' own words provided the most accurate and import lesson for me, for us all......
He writes: 'Members of this court are vested with the authority to interpret the law. We possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgements. Those decisions are entrusted to our nation's elected leaders who can be thrown out office if the people disagree with them. It is not our job to Protect the people from the Consequences of their political choices'.
And while I could not disagree more with the Supreme Court's ruling, I could not agree more with these words from Chief Justice John Roberts. It's as if he is trying to educate the American people while providing instruction on what to do next. And I found myself wanting to write my rock through his window less and less.
It is clear the majority of Americans disagree with the healthcare law, and in his opinion, Justice Roberts is challenging you, is challenging each of us to do something about it. Will you?
Afterall, we do have the power to change this ruling. The power and the responsibility resides with each of us. We have the power to vote Obama and any elected official who voted for Obamacare out of office. But we cannot complain about it if we don't act.
In 2008 I did act, did you? I knew who Obama was before he was elected. Did you?
I was proud that our country was going to have the opportunity to elect the first black president, but I knew who he was, what his record was and knew I would never vote for him. I did not allow myself to get carried away with the historic election while ignoring his record. Did you?
I worked for Mccain's campaign in a swing state to try and get him elected. I did everything I could to prevent the scenario we face today with the Supreme Court's ruling. Did you?
You may not agree with my opinions or positions and that is so ok with me. But like it or not, I am well informed on them. Are you?
So in my haste to let all of my outrage out on Justice Roberts, I was reminded that he is not the person who got us here, the ill informed who voted for Obama, or did not vote at all and now find themsleves outraged by this decision are, and now we all have something we can do about it. Will you?
As you decide how you fell about this ruling, or what you will do, I'll leave you to ponder one of my favorite Thomas Jefferson quotes:
Whenever people are well informed they can be trusted with their own government.

Andrea Sneiderman: grand jury investigation
Apparently DA Robert James was not bluffing when he said, 'stay tuned'.
A Dekalb county grand jury suBpoenaed the 2 day testimony of Andrea Sneiderman from a local news station- WSB Tv, channel 2.
In a move that surprised many, Andrea Sneiderman agreed to testify in Hemy Neuman's trial as she wished to do all she could in order to secure a conviction for the murder of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman. Now one wonders if she had motivation in securing the conviction against Hemy, or of she was foolish in subjecting herself to potential prosecution.
During her two day testimony, the DA heard for the first time when Andrea was told her husband had been shot. Per her own words, she had no idea what happened to Rusty, no one told her until she arrived at the hospital around 11 am. However, the victims father and Andrea's friend testified she told them Rusty had been shot prior to arriving at the hospital.
Don Sneiderman, Rusty's father, testified Andrea told him Rusty had been shot on the way to the daycare and in a surprise move, Shayna Citron called the DA after Andrea's testimony and offered her account of when she was told of Rusty's shooting. She testified Andrea told her Rusty had been shot in route to the hospital.
I've been struck by the silence of Andrea Sneiderman's family during all of this. My understanding is her mother was with her when she went to the daycare and hospital. Can she offer any additional information in this case. Did she hear her daughter speak with Don and Shayna? Did she hear her daughter tell them Rusty was shot before arriving at the hospital? I guess the answer to this is 'stay tuned.'
The other thing I've wondered and have not been able to find anywhere, is what time the shooting was reported to the public? Could Andrea have heard there was a shooting at Dunwoody Prep on the way there? It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together at that point. It also would not be difficult to assume your husband had been shot if she saw the scene, but at this point I am not sure she did.
So at this point, that' all the new information available. Will she be tried? My guess is yes. Will she be convicted? Was she involved? I guess we will have to stay tuned.

Why is the drop in unemployment rate not being covered by the media?????
I'll admit I cringed a little when I heard the unemployment rate dropped to 8.2% this month
Although I am thrilled more are finding work, I knew it would be covered 24/7 for the foreseeable future. I could hear it now ......At last you non believers and BO haters, his genius policies are finally paying off!!!
But rather than being inundated by coverage that BO saved the economy, I was instead struck by the silence.....cricket cricket
It's interesting isn't it? Another month of lower unemployment, and essentially there is little fanfare associated with the good news????
My guess is somehow 2+2 does not equal 8.2% unemployment, and that it was time for my consultation with the magic 8 ball(google).
Turns out, the lack of fanfare has something to do with a little thing we call arithmetic. I guess it's harder for NBC to use white out than it is to doctor 911 recordings in order to position a story in the direction they prefer.
Below is a link to the bureau of labor and statistics report referencing the number of people employed from 1978-2011 and monthly in 2012.
http://www.bls.gov/web/empsit/cpseea01.pdf
You'll notice the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3% to 8.2%, in March. hallelujah. So why is NBC and their brethren not shouting it from the rooftops, maybe because of that pesky column 4, number of people employed.
2012: February # of people employed: 142,065,000. Unemployment rate: 8.3%
2012: March # of people employed: 142,034,000. Unemployment rate: 8.2%
Wait, what???????
That's right, 31,000 less people are employed than were employed in February.
But Stacy, how is that possible? How could the unemployment number go down if 31,000 less people have jobs?
Unfortunately it's not a typo, you see the government has a way of reporting this statistic so the masses don't freak out about the real unemployment number.
The calculation is as follows:
(#of unemployed workers/total labor force)*100
If the number of people who are classified as being 'not in the workforce' goes up, the number of the unemployed goes down whether we have fewer people with jobs or not. It's like magic!
For those with inquiring minds, the link below provides a definition of those 'no longer in the workforce'. It includes those who do not have a job, have not looked for one in the last 4 weeks, and my personal favorite, those who if offered a job Last week could not have started it. Priceless... Here's an example, I'm a stay at home mom who is actively looking for work, but who couldn't have started last week because I want to start once kids go back to school, and suddenly I'm not counted in the workforce.
The category that should concern you the most is the retirees who are no longer in the workforce. As the population continues to rise that 58% of the population currently employed continues to decrease, while our responsibilities for Medicare and social security payouts increase, but I'll save that eye opener for another post.
I know studying numbers can be a bore so I will leave you with just two more:
When BO began his term in 2008, the number of people employed was 145,362,000, and the national average price of a gallon of gas $1.72.
The number of people employed March 2012: 142,034,000, the national average price of a gallon of gas $3.94
That's 3,328,000, less people with a job, and $2.22 more per gallon.
And if you think it looks bad now, wait until I summarize the tax increases coming that will affect everyone more than they know.
Are you beginning to wake up???
How's that hope and change working for you?
Although I am thrilled more are finding work, I knew it would be covered 24/7 for the foreseeable future. I could hear it now ......At last you non believers and BO haters, his genius policies are finally paying off!!!
But rather than being inundated by coverage that BO saved the economy, I was instead struck by the silence.....cricket cricket

If it is not the Fault of the evil rich, it must be the evil oil companies
And with this line of attack, BO gets a two-fer as the evil oil companies are owned by the evil rich!
If you are buying BO's latest attack on big oil's record profit, well then you might be a liberal. It's the same old and tired class warfare play and gives you an insight to how the administration plans to campaign for re-election.
'don't look at my record, look at the evil rich loving GOP guy running against me, he supports his rich friends who don't care a thing about you'. Oh really, BO and what have you done since taking office to help the average Joe or Jane???
I remember tearing up after BO was elected, understanding his vision of America and what it could turn in to over 8 years, and trust me they weren't tears of joy. Clearly anyone who knows me, knows I didn't vote for him, but I did take much pride in that our country elected its first black president, it was a historic moment. It was just the wrong guy.
I also remember telling my husband that if BO got into office, made the economy and getting people back to work his highest priority, that his second term would be a slam dunk and not only would he have the political capital to get anything he wanted passed - health care, cap and trade, taxing the rich even more-- he would go down as one of the greatest presidents in U.S. history. And as much as I hated the thought of 8 years of BO, my hope and change was wrapped up in this vision of his presidency.
Instead, he held to his true form. He used the financial crisis to move his leftist agenda through rather than concentrating on the economy. Years later, we are at unemployment above 8%, with real unemployment even higher, gas prices over $4 in some states, and his solution is give me 4 more years, I'm just getting started, or tax the rich and blame the oil companies for the high gas prices.
Let me give you a quick summary of some of the gas co profits. Yes it's complicated, but the profit margins are slim. Why, because 1 of 5 oil wells actually find oil, but the oil companies still pay the expenses for the 4 that don't. And guess what, it turns out Research and development to make clean gas, cleaner forms of energy is not free-who knew. There are expenses related to sales, distribution, oil refinement, And depending in which state the gas is being pumped, the government's returns for doing absolutely NOTHING is upwards of 15% and higher than the dastardly, evil, oil company profit margin.
So I say the government should give us a break, cut their % of profit and let us have a break at the pump, GASP! I'd even rather the oil co keep it, as over 9M people work directly or indirectly for the evil oil companies, and we could use a few more jobs I hear.
But Stacy, if we take away a cent from our government's oil profit earnings, we could lose teachers, police, fire fighters and not be able to continue social security check payments.
Or maybe we could stop funding ridiculous projects like a bridge so turtles can safely pass from one side of the road to another, or defund studies that found prettier people do better in life-shocker, or my favorite, how about we stop producing signs to display by the random road or bridge repair showing us our tax dollars at work. Why don't you just do the job and save that expense.
Or how about getting rid of the oil co subsidies, this is a favorite line of attack lately. I say we do that at the same time we stop the Hollywood movie making subsidies, or did you not know about that one???
But how else will the fabulous movie industry make such classics as Jack and Jill if we don't allow them to write off the majority of their expenses??? Oh no, then crap ass films wont get made. I'd put my tax subsidy behind a co creating jobs and a product used by most citizens and companies than to subsidize the movie industry. Maybe the evil rich movie stars should take pay cut, have a few less staff members, homes etc to help a movie studio out??? Wonder why we don't hear alot about stopping this subsidy, oh yes maybe bc they are among the highest fund raising bundlers for BO.
As you can see, I am in quite a mood today. I cannot take the thought of 4 more years of BO. But if you think getting rid of him is going to solve the problems we currently face, then you are sadly Ill informed and should really work in that. Bc the moment we became a nation of takers, a nation of all is fair, there are no winners or losers on the baseball/football/soccer field, we gave away the keys to what made America great. Turns out there are winners and losers, and guess what pretty people do do well in life. Shocker

Hemy Neuman trial ends, and reality sets in
No not for Hemy Neuman, for me. I'm going to have to go back to writing about politics-BORING, or my so called life-BORING(ER). :)
Let's face it reading about murder, betrayal, sex, and crazy is a lot more interesting than writing about politics. Although often times there is plenty of betrayal, sex and crazy in politics to go around!
It's probably a good thing the trial is over, as my obsession took a turn for the worse. I knew it had gotten out of hand today when my 9 mile commute took an hour and fifteen minutes, and I not only did not notice, but did not want to get out of the car because I was engrossed in the local news coverage of the verdict. An intervention was definitely in order.
Guilty but mentally ill was the verdict.
When the foreperson read it, she was fine through guilty, then choked up when she added 'but mentally ill'. My assumption is the jury may not have known whether the verdict they reached would set Mr. Neuman free, or send him to prison. My other assumption is the verdict was reached as some sort of compromise. An alternative to a hung jury for the one or two who may have bought the insanity defense. We may never know.
As is customary in a case like this, a press conference is held after the verdict/sentence imposed and although jurors could participate, none did. I don't blame them. People are very passionate about this case, no matter on which side they fall. There is nothing the jury could say to satisfy those who disagree with their decision, so why subject themselves to those who would rip them apart for doing their civic duty.
The press conference went on an the defense attorneys, DA, Dunwoody Police Chief and Rusty Sneiderman's brother participated. And while the reality had just set in that I'd be back to blogging about politics, or dare I say me, some of the press conference statements and/or responses lead me to believe I may not be writing about politics for very long.............................
DA Robert James was very eloquent in his words about Rusty Sneiderman and his family, reminding everyone that a good man lost his life and that the guilty verdict was about honoring Rusty, about justice for Rusty. That too much time had already been spent focusing on Hemy and Andrea, and that he would not spend the entire press conference speaking about them.
The DA made it clear he would look into whether charges should be brought against Andrea Sneiderman, and he made it even clearer emotion would not drive his decision, rather evidence and the ability to present a case against her would. The most interesting response from the DA was to a reporter who asked him what he would say to those who question his inferring Andrea had something to do with the murder of her husband without having charged her, to which the DA replied I'd say 'stay tuned'. Interesting.....
Rusty's brother, who was unbelievably gracious and eloquent in what I can only imagine was one of the most difficult times in his life, was crystal clear in his belief a criminal case against his sister in law should be pursued. In his statement he said his family 'will have no peace until everyone involved in Rusty's death is held accountable for their actions. In the meantime, it is clear to me that Andrea is covered in Rusty's blood, and there are not enough rabbis in the world to wash away those sins'. Ouch................
Hemy Neuman's defense team agrees with the Sneiderman family's opinion of Andrea's culpability. Doug Peters said he believes 'she should be charged with murder, in the first degree'. Only time will tell if Andrea Sneiderman will be charged, and clearly DA James will not pursue a case without evidence.
At this point, my opinion remains unchanged...........................because in my heart, I don't want to believe Andrea had anything to do with the murder of her husband. I do believe she had an affair. I do believe she used poor judgement resulting in Rusty's murder. I believe that because she could not bear the thought that she had an affair with someone capable of killing her husband, she convinced herself she never did, and testified to it in court.
HOWEVER, it turns out I am wrong on occasion. BUT do not tell my husband or my kids I admitted this. I too have convinced myself that I could never have the ability to be wrong, so I convince myself, my husband and my kids of this, and I too would testify to it in court!

Hemy Neuman Sentenced-Life without Parole
The maximum sentence allowable by law along with 5 years for count two (possession of a firearm) to be served consecutively.
As was the case during the trial, the judge wastes no time in the sentencing face. He listened to the victim statements and rendered the sentence 12 minutes later. Love this judge!
Hemy is taken out of the courtroom, and the prosecuters and any jurors can speak in an hour from now.
This should be interesting and will post more about that later.

Hemy Neuman: Guilt but Mentally Ill
Guilty but mentally ill??? Seriously???
At first I was dumb founded thinking that Hemy Neuman essentially got away with murder. But this is not the case. Although the jury found Hemy Neuman mentally ill, he will still be sentenced to time in jail. Initially he will spend an initial period in psychiatric care, but once he is deemed sane he will spend the remainder of his sentence in jail.
I think the jury essentially was trying to send a message. A message that they held Mr. Neuman responsible for the murder of Rusty Sneiderman, but that they felt he was influenced by Andrea Sneiderman if not by his childhood.
The judge is now listening to Rusty and Hemy's family members, and from Hemy Neuman prior to sentencing. More to come..................

Hemy Neuman Trial: Defense Rests
The Dunwoody Daycare Murder Trial is nearing an end. The prosecution rested its case on February 28th, and Hemy Neuman's defense was short and sweet. His sister, a Ga Tech employee in charge of student records and two phychiatrists were the only witnesses on Hemy Neuman's behalf, he declined to testify.
The defense psychiatrists testified Hemy was bi polar, in a manic phase, seeing demons and angels and compelled to kill by his hot and cold love affair with the victim's wife Andrea Sneiderman.
In my humble opinion, it was a thin defense to begin with and the state has had no problem poking holes in it.
I see very little chance of Hemy Neuman being found insane at the time of the killing, thus not responsible; however, I see a very high chance of a quick guilty verdict!
The trial is now in what is called 'the rebuttal phase' where the prosecution calls witnesses to counter the defense's assertion Hemy Neuman is insane. It is unclear if Andrea Sneiderman will be recalled to testify, she continues to be under subpoena but it would be like beating a dead horse......Did you have an affair with Mr. Neuman, No..... But what about the 1400+ phone calls, texts and emails? I have no idea what you are talking about, who is Mr. Neuman again, oh yes, that silly boy........
At this point, the jury either believes the two had an affair or they don't. Recalling Andrea would do little good for either side but it certainly would make things more interesting for the spectators.
One wonders if the prosection and/or defense would consider a plea deal in exchange for information implicating Rusty Sneiderman's widow in the murder????? Legal experts seem to agree, it is unlikely Andrea will ever face charges unless there is concrete evidence of her active involvement. Given the state has not charged her, apparently there is none. Adultery, if it occurred does, not equal criminal responsibility. And who knew, apparently knowing about a crime in advance and doing nothing to stop it does not make you criminally liable either. (not saying she did, just interesting)
I imagine closing arguments will begin this week, and a verdict won't be too far behind. Then comes Dateline, and the comes 48 hours, and then comes a baby in a baby carriage.....or something like that.

Apparently Hemy Neuman is not the only person obssessed with all things Sneiderman
My husband read my blog recently, and said, 'you know, I think you might be a little obsessed with this whole Sneiderman case'.
At first I was a little miffed, but this is because I get the most annoyed with someone or something said when it has a ring of truth for me. The old 'you spot it, you got it' type of thing!!!
So I unwillingly admitted the truth, I am obsessed with the Dunwoody murder trial of Hemy Neuman, the killer of Rusty Sneiderman. I mean, come on, what did he expect from a woman whose DVR records every Dateline and 48 Hours Mystery. This case has everything typically included in one of these shows.....Murder, Betrayal, Sex, and Drama, Drama, Drama mixed with a whole lot of crazy.
If you are following it at all, you know the Hemy Neuman trial has no short of crazy. And I am not just saying this because Hemy is pleading insanity. Unfortunately Andrea Sneiderman's attorney allowed his client to testify with what appears to be very little preparation, and she set a new bar for crazy.
Not only has she conveniently forgotten emails/texts between she and Mr. Neuman (1400 in 6 months). For those math challenged, that's 233/month, 8 per day, oh and double the amount she emailed/texted her husband.
Andrea also said she was uncomfortable with Hemy's advances but continued to travel with him, and texting/emailing him constantly..........
Add to this her testimony she first found out Rusty had been shot at the hospital around 11am, but somehow knew he'd been shot, and relayed this information to her husband's father and good friend(Shayna Citron) on her way to the hospital....what????
And then there was her bizarre behavior of hugging her dear friend Shayna in the courtroom after Shayna testified about the phone call. I remember thinking how big of Andrea realizing Shayna was clearly uncomfortable testifying against her friend. But then Shayna was called back to the stand to explain to the judge how after leaving the courtroom and Andrea's forgiving embrace, Shayna was then informed by Andrea they were no longer friends. Shayna said she tried to explain to Andrea she had to tell the truth, she was under oath. To which Andrea replied, well I've got to do what I've got to do too
C.R.A.Z.Y...............
All this drama and crazy, and Hemy's insanity defense had not even started....
Please do not misunderstand. I do not hold Andrea responsible for Hemy killing Rusty.
At this point there is no evidence she had anything to do with the planning of the murder of her husband. But I'd be lying if I said I believed her testimony thus far. She's being her own worst enemy if she had nothing to do with this because the answers she's given so far do not make a bit of sense given the evidence and other's testimony in the case.
If she did sleep with Hemy, fool around or only lead him on because she was desperate to feel connected to another person, she'd do Rusty a favor by telling the truth. Because if they did have an affair, and not an imaginary affair in Hemy's mind, she'd all but secure a guilty conviction with no insanity, providing justice for her husband.
Her denial of the affair is playing more into the hands of the defense......he's either imagined an affair and felt compelled to kill by his delusions or she's played the same cat and mouse game with him that she seems to have played on the witness stand, thus driving him to insanity......
Regardless of an affair between the two, I hope Hemy is found guilty of murder and spends the rest of his life in jail. And I hope this brings Rusty's family some form of comfort. Because, although I make light of this trial on my blog, it is a very very tragic situation for all involved.
And so my obsession continues. I will read the coverage and attempt to summarize it here until the trial is over or until a Dateline/48 hours show is aired. Whichever comes first.
I hear admitting your problem is the first step!
